At least these refs know how to call a holding penalty. Not convinced if Oklahoma was our opponent that those would be called

Noel's got the feet and speed to make something happen back there.

I wonder how long that's been really really obvious.

I get that UNLV is bad, but some of the things we've all been asking to see are there. Getting the ball to playmakers in space, some flow to play calls. Not perfect, but steps in the right direction. Hopefully it carries over when going into the conference season.

Why can't we play a cream puff like UNLV the first game of the year to work out the kinks, then take on UNI and the TOE?

It's like if you just quickly get the ball to your playmakers they'll make a play.

And that TD looked like it could have been much easier with a quicker throw.

That’s perhaps Purdy’s biggest weakness. He doesn’t have a particularly strong arm, but the real problem is the fact that he doesn’t make decisions on throws anywhere close to fast enough. That’s part of the reason why every deep ball he throws is a jump ball. He waits too long.

The Des
That was a great throw to Hutch. If he can step into his throws and be decisive, he can get back some of what he's lost.
