The first play on the 1 yard line, Kansas had no one lined up on the center. Easy sneak to start the drive.
They have playing not to lose last several games, playing to win this game. Hopefully they keep it up.
Yeah the only true overreactions last week were the "anti-criticism" crowd that distort and exaggerate and project even the tiniest/slightest hint of frustration as the worst most evil/condemnable thing imaginable in sports.
The VAST majority of Cyclone fans are absolutely pumped to be 7-1, and understand simultaneously that:
1) This group has proven on the field that it is "good enough" to go 4-0 down the stretch, based on the play on the field, the recruiting, the coaching staff's track record, etc. and/or
2) This team might lose a few down the stretch and - while it would be perfectly OK to be bummed about a loss and express fan/sports-related frustration - that it in fact would not mean that the world is ending nor the season is over nor coaches need to be fired.
Many things can be and are true at the same time in this crazy nuanced world of college football.
