Doesn't seem likely with a home game against OSU Saturday. They hold the head to head against KU and TCU, two teams likely to be tied with the if they win.I hope BYU isn’t the 7 seed in the BIG 12 tournament.

Oof. Hope you didn't lose too muchYou guys can emotionally hedge all you want, but you're donating the the sports book. Cyclones are going to cover with 4 points to spare.
Yeah, does Baylor have some committee-favored stat like a better record vs. Quad 1 or something? What in the actual ****.
Katz has us a #2 as do others https://www.ncaa.com/news/basketbal...redictions-andy-katzs-first-projections-marchWhat in the actual ****.
I found this somewhat fascinating. Three of BYU's players are Muslim and are about to have to deal with Ramadan fasting during the tournament. I just assumed that everyone - or at least nearly everyone - that goes to BYU is Morman. Both are the wrong religion.
Probably no different than Baylor or Notre Dame. Not everyone at those schools are Baptist or Catholic.I found this somewhat fascinating. How BYU's Muslim players will balance basketball with observing Ramadan
Three members of BYU's No. 20-ranked men's basketball team are Muslim and will begin observing Ramadan at sundown on Sunday. Egyptian Aly Khalifa plans to fast during daylight hours, while Fouss Traore and Atiki Ally Atiki will observe the Islamic holy month in other wayswww.deseret.com

To be fair, cant blame them for wanting to witness real basketball for the first time this year. Absolutely hilarious to me that they wont buy tickets to watch Iowa, but will buy tickets for ISU!I noticed some fans wearing BYU gear last night & I said, "Welcome to Iowa State". I asked where they were from & a gentleman replied, "Iowa City"....![]()
When I was there, there were a fair number of Muslim students. Their parents liked that the honor code aligned somewhat with their values, especially on sex and booze.I found this somewhat fascinating. The percentage of LDS at BYU is most likely much higher than percentage of Catholics at ND or Baptists at Baylor.Probably no different than Baylor or Notre Dame. Not everyone at those schools are Baptist or Catholic.
Probably 95% or more. I only knew a couple non-LDS very well. One guy who transferred there because he was sick of the liberal indoctrination (paraphrasing what I remember) of the first school he was at.The percentage of LDS at BYU is most likely much higher than percentage of Catholics at ND or Baptists at Baylor.
Well, in a massive breach of professionalism and common courtesy, my dogs got me up at 4:15 this morning
Jones showed good post moves when he made the basket that put ISU ahead 64-63It was an awful call, no doubt about it, but I really do think that BRE had his moment with his layup towards the end that gave us the 64-63 lead that we never gave up afterwards.
And the more I've seen it on replay the more impressed I am with the shot. It was by no means an easy, open layup!
I mentioned it earlier in a different thread, but Hasan's two free throws were absolutely huge. They happened right after Tamin's big 3-pointer with the lucky roll, and gave us our first lead since the first half. Granted, BYU did tie the game and got the lead back afterwards (albeit for just a moment or two), but those two free throws gave us the proverbial shot in the arm down the stretch.
And ironically enough, for all the awareness that BRE isn't a good FT shooter is that Hasan only shoots 57% himself from the line. But those two shots last night were nothing but net.
I wish BYUDad was still around after I told him BYU will finish 10-8 in the league and he proclaimed they would win it...
For example...
