I used to believe some of the McCarney teams had a detachment from the rivalry that helped them....a lack of concern or even respect for a Hawkeye game. Some swagger too when earned.
I don't know what I see in these football games and basketball games now.....apathy?, and emotional disconnect?, Lack of pride?
Definitely approaching games different than the fan base does.
