So lets say we win out, which we have the potential to do IMO... Where are we seeded?

It's cart-meet-horse, but I'm OK playing what-if.

Ceiling is a 5 seed.

A win-out would give ISU 3 more good wins vs. KU, OSU and OU, and no additional bad losses.

"Quality losses" to Cincinnati and UNLV have lost a little luster.

Then again, Joey Brackets has Memphis at a 5 seed, despite zero wins vs. a tournament-probable opponent. So who knows what's possible?

Is this assuming we win out the regular season only without tournament games or if we win that too?
Just curious.

You know you control your own destiny when you can either not make the tourney or be as high as a 5 seed in the tourney.

We could win the next five, but at the same time we could just have one loss right now too. But I'd rather drop a game or two now then win five straight and flop first round!

EDIT, I guess we do still have the Big12 Tournament so it doesn't matter. Win out baby!

A little blind-resume fun.

Each of these teams is an at-large lock. Which one do you seed higher — more accurately, which should come first on the S-curve?

Team A
Winning Pct: .824
RPI: 5
SOS: 7
Conf RPI/SOS: 13/63
Non-conf RPI/SOS: 6/18
Home: 14-1
Road: 6-2
Neutral: 2-1
vs RPI-top 10: 0-1
vs top 25: 4-2
vs 26-50: 6-1
vs 51-75: 1-0
vs 76-100: 1-0
vs 101-150: 2-0
vs 151-200: 2-0
vs 201-250: 3-1
vs. 251-plus: 2-0

Team B
Winning Pct.: .928
RPI: 9
SOS: 57
Conf RPI/SOS: 23/169
Non-conf RPI/SOS: 11/19
Home: 12-1
Road: 9-1
Neutral: 4-0
vs RPI-top 10: 0-0
vs top 25: 2-1
vs 26-50: 3-1
vs 51-75: 2-0
vs 76-100: 4-0
vs 101-150: 2-0
vs 151-200: 6-0
vs 201-250: 1-0
vs 251-plus: 5-0

I think Lunardi is making an assumption that Memphis will win the CUSA Tourney.
Also, they have lost 1 game since November 24th and are currently on a 17 game winning streak.
Even if they have played average opponents, that is quite the feat.

Bubble Games ISU should keep an eye on:

Maryland vs. Clemson - Maryland won, no change in their status, still OUT.
Memphis vs. Southern Miss - Southern Mississippi is OUT. Had to win that game
Alabama vs. LSU - Alabama is OUT. You cannot lose to LSU.
Xavier vs. VCU - Xavier is OUT. Needed a marquee win.
Ole Miss vs. Auburn - Ole Miss wins. Barely IN.
Baylor vs. Oklahoma - Baylor loses big. Sliding at the wrong time.
Marquette vs. Villanova - Big win by Villanova. They are IN.
California vs. Oregon State - Cal wins, and are staying IN.
Creighton vs .St.Mary's - Great resume win by Saint Mary's. They are IN.
Florida vs. Arkansas - Arkansas got crushed. OUT
Missouri vs. Kentucky - Kentucky took it to the edge, but won. Barely IN.
Ohio vs. Belmont - Belmont with an impressive win. IN
Washington vs. Arizona State - Not the loss ASU needed. OUT
For ISU, it would be great to see all the major conference teams to lose. But like many have said over and over again, for ISU, just win baby!

Good point(s). I'm sure there are details that go "off-******" like that. I also think there's been a lot of volatility the past couple of weeks between 5 and 8/9 — some of the current 5's may climb a little, others could drop a lot.

Creighton getting blown out by St Marys. If they lose 5 or 6 of their last 8(probable), they don't deserve to be in.

These don't really matter to us, because we are sitting pretty well right now.
