The 11 line is where I want to be this year to stay on the bottom half of the region. Everyone says the 1's are weak, what does that say about the 2's?

Well... of the 2's listed as of this morning... One just lost to Villanova, One just lost to Penn State, and One got smoked by Arkansas and lost to Mizzou in the last few weeks.

I would so love to see a battle between Wisconsin and ISU. Let's see them try to keep us to 50 points!

not excited about the miami part, but looking forward to raining threes on wisconsin. See just how good that B1G defense is.

This would actually be one of the last matchups I'd want to see. They are boring and it's easier to slow a team down than to speed a team up.

I'd much rather face a team that thinks they can play our game and beat us at it.

Yeah, I think Wisconsin would physically beat us up

Miami has lost 3 of their last 4 games because they haven't been able to defend the 3-ball. They gave up 7 to Wake, 11 to Duke, and 8 to Georgia Tech. ISU shoots 3's better then any team in the country. Those 3 teams shot 49% from deep. A matchup with ISU could be deadly for Miami.

I thought that too and went and looked at fouls per game to see just how much they hack. I was surprised to see that Wisconsin is one of the best teams in the country (#7) in avoiding fouls with only 14 per game. (ISU is at 17 per game - over #100 in the NCAA.) I suppose there could be a lot of things contributing to that like the officiating in the Big 10 and their slow down play limiting possessions.

I'd have us in the Sweet 16 with those matchups.

Agreed. I for one think Wisconsin would be a good matchup for us. They won't be able to score enough, and frankly they've looked bad their last 2 games. Purdue ran them off the floor in the 2nd half on Sunday and MSU (yes, a really good team) beat 'em up last night. Miami is very beatable as well.

Last night, the refs let a lot more go than I've seen in our games.

Can you imagine the meltdown if this bracket was what happened and KU/Mizzou played in the 2nd round in KC? That would be priceless.

I don't doubt the NCAA would love to make that happen.

And I would not be surprised if we win at WVU, move up to a #10 and get squared off against LE and CSU as a #7.

I really don't think the selection committee has time to worry about those matchups. They are scrambling just to get everyone in, seeded and satisfy all of the seeding rules. There are so many "interesting matchup" possibilities throughout the field that some of them are bound to happen every year just by chance.

Belmont losing to Murray State tomorrow probably wouldn't affect us at all because we would make it over Belmont if they lost. They only have one Top 50 win right now(vs. Middle Tennessee St.) and a couple of questionable losses so the only way they make the tournament is if they beat Murray State tomorrow.

I'm more afraid of either Indiana State and Illinois State beating Creighton and Wichita State tomorrow and shrinking the bubble one spot. I'd love a Creighton vs. Wichita State MVC final.
