Already did. Posted this morning that Jordan was better. I don't discredit Jordan. I just post the facts about the advantages he had in being part of the Bulls organization rather than the Cavs and proceed to watch Bulls fans near the brink of combustion.

I think we've found the problem, it's been well established that 78 is not a fan of using facts.

It doesn't even matter, that's the thing. I think most people that "defend" LeBron care less about whether he's actually better than Jordan (as though you could ever really prove or disprove it objectively) and more about him getting a fair shake as one of the games great players without this absurd notion that 6 titles is now the criteria for even entering that discussion.

The teams are different, the league is different (no one ever talks about Jordan's titles coming post-expansion, but before international players really became common). Hell, THE RULES AREN'T EVEN COMPLETELY THE SAME. It's just a pointless, dumb argument either side you take.

You just nailed my reason for entering these discussions. As soon as you say one thing that maybe went MJs way that didn't go LeBrons or one thing LeBron did that maybe Jordan wasn't able to do, you have thrown down the gauntlet and said LeBron is the best of all time and Jordan isn't even close.

What I hate about the who's better debates is that it almost immediately comes to "this guy's the greatest and the other guy sucks!" That's been happening with Manning and Brady for the last decade plus in the NFL, and it's a ******* pointless argument. They're both great, both first ballot hall of famers, and both champions. End of discussion. Same goes for Lebron and Jordan.

Yep and you tend to get the HotSportsTakes crowd involved and then any chance of having a decent discussion about anything goes down the drain.

What I hate about these debates is you get some dope that always jumps in and goes "Jordan would never pass the ball at the end of the game like Lebron does!"

Paxson and Kerr would suggest otherwise...
 
Jordan vs. Lebron, Lebron vs. Jordan... I'll say this much, not even based on statistics, watching Jordan play you got the feeling he was unstoppable and could not miss. I am no fan of his. I actually hated the guy. I always liked every team that went against him (my favorite player was Clyde Drexler). But I can't deny his amazing skill level. GOAT? I would say so. Is Lebron in the same conversation? Not yet. Not even close.

Oh, and for those knocking on Lebron's supporting cast's talent level: nobody complained about their talent level the past 4 years when they absolutely destroyed everyone during the regular season and the playoffs (outside of Dallas 4 years ago and San Antonio this year). That is a good Heat's team. Popovich is just a master at exploiting matchups and attacking weaknesses and he clearly made adjustments from last year to this year. It is no fluke that Diaw played much more in this year's finals.
