Trey Scott has said that he believes ISU is only taking Ozigbo this year. That may have been one of ISU's major selling points to him.

Correct. One of Rhoads promises was that if Ozigbo committed, ISU would not pursue another RB. It was a great selling point, and works out well with the recruiting numbers. The JUCO RB won't come to Ames unless he walks on.

I heard one of the intramural flag football teams as Iowa State was going after him pretty hard.
I don't understand the need to put some kid down. Especially without seeing any video of the kid. If he'd been at one of our camps, and was any good, CPR probably would have offered him.

It was more of a shot at Lakesbison. He brought it up strictly because it was a kid from Fargo that had an offer from NDSU and Minnesota. All he had to do was go to the kid's recruit page if he truly wanted to know if Iowa State was interested. He didn't want to know. It's LB's weird way of puffing out his chest.

6 1 220 4.4 yard dash http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1288431/highlights/103881375

actually I was posting it because I cant believe that Iowa State wouldn't recruit him, trying to help you guys!

He runs a 4.6 40 yd. dash according to 247 Sports.

And since he has gotten an offer from Minnesota it is now being predicted that he will become a Gopher. Better recruit someone else since you lost out on him. He turned down the vaunted Bison Dynasty to become a Gopher. LOL.

Stolen right out of their backyard too! I don't know how a national championship caliber team can lose a player out of their backyard to a mediocre team like Minnesota!

It's ok guys, just seeing why you didn't recruit him. Carry on.

If you want my non-smart *** answer, it's probably because we've got a pretty good stockpile of potential at running back as is, especially with out most recent commitment. Few of these guys have any actual experience, and potential doesn't necessarily translate to production, but running back (and wide receiver) may be the best two positions we're sitting at, again, based on potential.

That is NOT what I said. I said that I did not see that there would be a level of attrition to warrant a class above 15 or so. There is a difference.

Which is basically what they were saying. Attrition of 5 means a class of 15 or 16. I wasnt sure what you guys were arguing about. Seemed like you were both saying the same thing.

Some were saying we could take 17 to 20. I suppose it is possible, but I just don't see attrition taking place at that level to have that many recruits. IMO, 17 would be the top end.

Reason we didn't is that we had better prospects and got a really good one in Devine Ozigbo. Something like 32 scholarship offers.......from FBS schools.

Wow. That sucks you can't even land a kid from Fargo. Says he wants to play football at the highest level.........and he is going to Minnesota. LOL.
