Regardless he was our #1 target and we have no serious transfer options from what I've seen.

We have no idea who are #1 target is in the eyes of the staff or if they even still have a spot to fill. May just be putting out feelers in case someone does decide to transfer out.

We don't even know if we are still recruiting a transfer. Maybe after player meetings and the lard news this is it. Which I am ok with. I thought maybe they were looking at a contigency for Burton or Carter should they leave and Lard not being eligable. If none of those things happened we are set. I am fine with giving Lard and or Young some minutes to develope as freshman and playing more small ball with all the guards we have.

Yeah, I'd be fine with that too. Very excited to see what Coach Prohm can do with this combination of youth and experience.

Why would Burton leave in the first place?

Maybe Burton wants to spend his Senior season sitting on the bench at another school, instead of starting at ISU?

Well technically he could transfer/redshirt and then play one full year but considering he has sat out a lot already he may not want that. It's not like he's buried on the depth chart and has no other option for PT.

Didn't he already use his RS sitting at ISU?
Meaning, the only option he has left is to stay and play or transfer and sit on the bench for his final season. Only 1 makes sense. Not even sure why his name was brought up in the first place.

2013/14- he played a full season at Marquette

2014/15- played one semester there and then transfers to ISU sitting out 2nd semester

2015/16- sat out 1st semester fullfilling his full year, played 2nd semester

You have 5 to play 4 so I think he could do it if he wanted to.

Still would be a bizarre move though.

I think he could grad transfer and play his last season somewhere new. Basically what BDJ did

I agree it's very unlikely he leaves, but it is possible

Oh yeah, I forgot he was a mid season transfer.

I kept thinking it was:
2 full years at Marquette
1 sit out year
1 year at ISU
and now his senior season.

Still would be a very odd move.

He's a regular senior this year so unless he completed his undergrad in 3 years that isn't a problem to worry about.
