Official word. Morrow seems like a good fit for the program. Would be an ideal replacement for what Prohm was trying to get in Feazell IMO and still have two years left. If he could work on his outside shot he'd be a very good PF in the system.
Sounds like he left because he wanted to work on that, and not be a center type, so that's good to hear motivational wise.

We don't be seen to have any interest in the sit 1 to play 3...Prohm looks pretty hellbent on balancing out the classes, can't blame him

I totally agree with that sentiment of those 4. Its why it threw me off to read they hoped to get Edwards signed this weekend. Just never know with Juco players, maybe with better teammates the guy is a major player just more of a risk then the grad transfer guys we are after.

We have to remember the staff has evaluated Edwards all spring and already decided that he would help ISU. That is why they wanted the commitment plus while those 4 listed would be a bumper transfer class they haven't visited yet, and there is no guarantee in recruiting they all will make it to Ames. No guarantee grad transfers will produce better than JuCo players either.

4 scholarships and we're going after:
Edwards
Brown
Shayok
Juiston
Morrow

Assuming Edwards is the 5th option on that list? I guess you could also make the case the staff doesn't really want 2 sit-out transfers though in that scenario, so maybe that would default Morrow to 5th?

I think we're going after more than that, but we'll see.

Not to bash the kid but he left because he wouldn't start at the 4, they have a transfer that is better suited to play the stretch 4 role (and SO Isaiah Roby). That meant to get on the floor, Morrow would need to play the 5, he wasn't interested in that. I agree though, maybe now he'll have a chip on his shoulder to prove he can play be a 4. Whatever position he plays, I'm really high on him, he and Solomon would be a formidable duo in the paint.

I wonder how if the Morrow and Julston's recruiting could impact one another. One of those guys would be coming off the bench in 18/19 right? Both guys are looking to start and are being given that option from plenty of other teams.

I think Juiston's decision effects Marrow's, but probably not the other way. Juiston will have a leg up in two years being able to play next year, and Marrow knows that Iowa St is hard after Race Thompson. Best case scenerio, Iowa St has a solid front court of Juiston, Race, and Young in two years, not to mention Lard. That probably isn't an ideal situation for Marrow to get the playing time he wants.

Definitely agree with this. I believe Morrow is backup plan if Juiston goes elsewhere...

Why would you assume Edwards is the 5th option? Edwards and Juiston have been our top targets for awhile now.
