They need a 6'9 inch awkward kid in the worst way. They only have like 4 of them right now.
Is that all? I thought that they had like 6 or7. Uhl is the one that should have transferred last year, he got royally screw over this season for no better than they were!

Any thoughts on whether Reid Travis of Stanford will grad transfer after their NIT run is done? I believe he was granted a Medical Hardship waiver after only playing 8 games his sophomore season due to shoulder injury(s) so he has a year of eligibility remaining. For those who don't remember, he was a highly rated Minnesota kid.

6-8, 240 - 19.6 p 8.7 r this year.
Reid has stress fractures from overuse. I think he most likely will dip his toe into the NBA first and then if that doesn't work, then either stay if he thinks they will make the tournament next year or look to transfer. He might come here if my mother would make Special K bars for him, he really likes the ones she makes. He did enjoy his official visit here the most of any he had in high school. I doubt he comes here though from what a little birdy told me, but you never know.

Wagner from Iowa is gone. He is leaving for football. Not sure if he got into any games. Now they can go get two mor 6’9 awkward white guys.

There are better kids ISU could target but there’s some ISU connection here with Neill Berry coming from High Point.

If he is at High Point he needs to average like 30 for anyone to look. I can see a kid from Drake averaging 15 and taking a look. This kid is not big 12 level though.

Oklahoma State took Kendall Smith from Cal St. Northridge (finished 284 in KenPom his final year) and he averaged 16.7, 4 & 5. Usage 25.4, PER 19.6. In comparison High Point finished 238 in KenPom this year with Fox averaging 15.7 points & 4.8 rebounds. Usage 27.1, PER 22.6.

Fox had much better shooting numbers but obviously Smith is more of a point guard where as Fox is better off the ball it appears. Another caveat being Smith was a grad transfer and Fox you would have to invest 2 years in to get 1 year of court time. Worked out for Ok State in this case, just saying.

I don't think ISU is looking at a grad transfer but Omer would move the needle.

@GoodmanESPN NC State's Omer Yurtseven has been granted a release to transfer, school announces. Could also turn pro.

Why are people so determined to get a point guard? We will have two next season and a couple guys who could play the role in moments of need. To me, a combo forward or true post would be much more useful.

Would he be a grad transfer? I think he'd have to sit, wouldn't he?

Only a sophomore. Would be a sit out. Would certainly take but I bet he goes pro.

First I don't think the staff will pursue a PG to play next year (no grad transferJuCo) this year, rather a sit out or prep who would be developed to play the year after.
We have to remember NWB is a senior and it is realistic LW could leave after next year.
I really like Tyrese but having him as the only option next year to play point isn't ideal.
