The good thing is that as of now we don’t have to take a flyer on anyone. Last year we did because that idiot freshman screwed us over and the juco picked Unlv. If we don’t get anyone, it doesn’t matter.

Precisely.
The staff shold target 2-3 of the top sit out options and go full out for them. Players who will fit the system and contribute hopefully 2-3 years after red shirting a year.
If they miss they can simply bank the scholarship till later. It is always possible there is a late decommit in the summer or mid year transfer option that could come along. If not I am fine with using it on a player in the '19 class. No pressure to get a contributor this spring is a nice thing.

I still think this year's vote was political though. THT was the best player in that state.
THT played better comp, although East STL is quality bball. The biggest difference is Liddell won State at the 4A level, and neither THT or Ayo (both in 4A also) did. Lots placed their reasoning on that alone. The biggest political aspect was the Chicago Public Schools coaches who omitted votes

6'0", 165 lbs, with a -36.40 DPS (defensive points saved). Woof.
In comparison, only Donovan Jackson had a worse DPS on ISU at -37.71. Next worst was Lewis at -2.07. Best was Lard at +54.72.
That's good information but my goodness a new advanced stat pops up every week

Just patiently waiting on some news to break that the next Royce White, Will Clyburn, Abdel Nader is on his way to pair with Wigginton, THT, Lard and Co. In 2019/2020...

He might be a Jacy Holloway type guard. Halliburton will be a sophomore at that point. I think we can get a better freshman point guard like EJ Liddell. Kid should go to Iowa.
I'm wondering what you mean by this. Jacy was a scorer in high school and his lack of scoring at ISU had nothing to do with ability. Floyd knew what he wanted at PG and didn't want Jacy shooting unless the shot clock was under 5. If Jacy wanted to play, he had to forgo scoring, but he was certainly capable. Kansas found this out the hard way in the Big 8 tournament.

Will always root for him wherever he goes

The 6-foot-6 high school senior forward from Lake Forest, Ill., announced on Twitter Thursday night his apparent satisfaction with severing ties with Iowa.

"I'm happy to say I am no longer considering Iowa and have cancelled my official visit," Boudreaux said.

That is funny...
Too bad too, I am sure Fran would have been all over adding a 6'8" "local" post forward with the open scholarships over a PG. Guess He'll have to wait on the next one to transfer.

Evan would be a good transfer get for what ever program gets his commitment.
