Works as an assistant for Toronto Raptors. I'm most worried about Dayton and Syracuse.

Miami is prioritizing Griffin, the pull of living close to South Beach should not be overlooked.

"Alan Griffin is Miami's primary transfer target this spring. The Hurricanes have found consistent success in the grad transfer market in recent years and while the Illinois transfer will not come easy, Miami is one of the few programs with a legitimate shot with him."

@EvanDaniels Sacred Heart guard Koreem Ozier is in the NCAA Transfer Portal, per a source. Averaged 14 PPG and made 60 three-pointers on the season.
https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/4397996/koreem-ozier

And ISU is one of the first to call Koreem.

@jakeweingarten Sacred Heart guard Koreem Ozier, who’s name was just inserted into the transfer portal has heard from Iowa State, East Carolina, New Mexico and Butler, he told
@Stockrisers.
Many suitors expected to reach out. 14 point per game scorer. Hit 60 three’s.

@jakeweingarten Georgetown and Georgia are the newest programs to reach out to Sacred Heart transfer Koreem Ozier, he told @Stockrisers. He’s heard from plenty of programs early.

From Racine, Wisconsin. Sit one play two. High volume, low efficiency guy but a leading scorer. Who the hell knows at this point.

Immediately eligible? Nope.
Learn from Nixon not to sign low/mid-level guys with low efficiency? Nope.

Why in the world would the staff want a guy taking up three years of a scholarship to play two, who can't do the most important thing in the game - put the ball in the hoop? He shot under 39% fr and so years. At Sacred Heart. What is Steve thinking with this? More of the same, terrible judgment. Points don't equal quality. I would bet a fair amount of money we pick up a couple guys like this and it'll be Steve's demise.

Everyone needs to relax, it is only March. Just because ISU contacts a prospect doesn't mean he's choice A, B or even N. The staff needs to have some quality backup plans to pull in case of emergency prospects ready and not left desperate in May.
I hope ISU has learned from Juiston situation forcing ISU into pivoting to Beverly and Brase (and injury risk) late. The staff does have to prove they have better fall back options but we won't know that for a while.
No sense in getting mad at CSP/staff right now. We can save it for June ;)

The "Will we have football this year" thread is starting to make me feel mopey. Like, will we even have basketball this year? If it becomes a serious question of doubt, I wonder if Steve will sign anyone, just out of the fear and uncertainty of the future people have. Will the 4 freshman even show up if the campus doesn't open in the fall? So many things to ponder

I'm not sure ISU is really looking to take 4 immediately eligible players with the open roster spots regardless. That is too much new blood to integrate especially with as shortened off season to get chemistry. I assume they are planning on 1 or 2 to be sit out transfers to help balance the classes and not have issues with players wanting more time on the floor.

Oh I know we will take at least one sit out, my comment was about the rumors they might not enforce the “sit out” as heavily due to cancelling the post season. I think we take two grad transfers max(ideally), and a Juco. I know fans say to retire “balancing the classes”, but that’s false. If teams can do that every year, they will. Sometimes it doesn’t happen, that doesn’t mean they don’t want it to. Wanting to balance classes doesn’t mean they are against taking a better player.. there are always exceptions.

6'9 235 Pound Stretch 4. Averaged 11 points, and 5 rebounds on 41% from the floor including 34% from 3. 4 Star Recruit out of HS. Originally signed to UCONN. This is the Stretch 4 Iowa State is missing right now. This guy is a must. I hope like no other Prohm reaches out to this dude. Here are his Freshman Highlights from his UCONN Days, and some from a 29 point outburst vs Fresno State this past Season.
