Baylor has historically played a zone. So they have players and coaches who are used to zones (maybe not exactly Syracuse's zone, but still zone nonetheless.) Also, if you have great talent and great shooters, you can beat their zone.
Unfortunately West Virginia doesn't have great talent or great shooters. They have struggled to score consistently this year and never figured out how to take apart that Syracuse zone. They just recruit such long bodies that your eyes can sometimes struggle to process how clogged the passing lanes look. It was a terrible match up for West Virginia.

Bummed for the Big 12, who is suddenly relying on Okie State taking advantage of some bracket chaos, having "just" a 12 seed and an 8 seed between them and the Elite Eight. KU isn't favored vs.USC and OU is most likely going to lose to Gonzaga.

I'd take an Elite Eight, Final, and 2nd round loss to a higher seed in a weird year vs. what ISU's done in the same span.
Agreed. Really strange/dumb comment about Beard. An eyelash away from winning a National Championship at Texas Tech of all places is better than anything we’ve ever done.
