They refused to double Garza, and those guys don't do well when guarded.

If I were an Iowa fan I'd be furious with Fran. You know you have some good talent coming back. But you know you desperately need PG play and some length/athleticism. And with that you bring in multiple marginal high school talents not ready to contribute right away (with the exception of Ke. Murray). They were an immediately eligible transfer or two away from being really, really good.

There was no way Altman was going from this monster he's built at Oregon to us.
We should have tried searching for a better answer than we pursued, but Altman wasn't happening.

This iowa team is amongst the greats. Not many teams can say they made the round of 32.

Only 320 teams a decade can say theyve done that.

Only about 150 teams a decade can do it with zero conference titles or tourney titles though. That's acyltuctyally the tougher achievement.
