Winning the league or tourney is more worthy than adding a 4th big ten team with a bad conference record to the top 8 seeds.

You're right it's a crazy year but completely wrong that the thing to do in a crazy year is assume one conference is 10x better than all the rest.

This is the year to value spreading it around, not tunnel vision to irrationally crown one conference king of the universe.

In football we were told you can play half a season and still be rewarded as equal to teams with twice the games. Somehow it was the opposite in basketball. It's almost like one specific program benefitted most from the double standard.

And neither UCLA or USC won their conference tournament. Neither of them even made the championship game, whereas Ohio State at least made the Big Ten championship game. So what is that you are saying then?

Conference tournament results are inconsequential for seeding purposes except for the occasional team getting an otherwise undeserved bid for running the table.

Yes. For seeding/resume, it's treated like any of the full body of work. It could help a team move up a seed line depending on which teams you beat to win the conference tournament (taking into account other results in other league tournaments), but it's weighed no more or less than regular season games.

Gonzaga feels like they are getting setup for the upset. They haven’t trailed in like 3 full games. Not even 2-0 or 4-2.

Tell that to HFCS then. They seem to be all over why Ohio State shouldn't have been a 2 seed, but neither of the options in the PAC12 had a better case to be a 2 seed, either. They brought up the conference tournament thing, not me.

That's cool, I was responding directly to Acylum's post, wasn't trying to extend it to what you posted that drew his response.
