What Mizzou fans? Having lived in that state for a number of years, I don’t think I met a true Tiger fan the whole time.
I am always surprised how poorly they carry that state. It seems like encountering Tiger fans was dependent on their hate KU/KSU or even ISU fans bringing them out in KC. A little better in St Louis but still tertiary

Almost no one I met during my years in MO was a college sports fan at all. NFL was king with MLB not far behind. In KC you would see a fair amount of KU gear but not as much as I expected before moving down there.

Ever been to St Louis? Place is full of them, and they are arrogant as hell

Been in KC for 24 years, the move to the SEC has killed Mizzou fandom...well, that and the fact that they've sucked in football and basketball ever since.

But before that they were as annoying as they come. And the problem was they were decent at both sports so it was never ending. At least with KU it's only during basketball season. And back in the day when KSU was good in football, their fans ranked right up there with KU basketball fans.

But as far as Mizzou, there's definitely something to be said about the rivalry with KU fueling that fanbase. Since they've left the Big 12 you just don't see as many of their fans sporting their gear around town.

Eh, St Louis is kind of turning into an Illinois town.

I'm there quite a bit for work and there's more and more blue and orange there every time I'm in town. Kind of the same feel you get seeing more and more Cardinal and Gold in DSM.

Their first loss of the year sends them scrambling like when you turn on a light in a roach infested room. No one goes from "this is our year" to completely vanishing quite like the Mizzou fan base.

I’ve lived here in St Louis for 18 years. It is just as bad today as it was then. The only difference is that I don’t have to listen to as much bullsh@t about our football and hoops games that seemed to always end with them winning.

When I lived there I thought they were largely unnoticeable.
