Not from that source but did noticed the warm up predicted for the day or two before NYE. What are the confidence levels we'll have a temp in the 40s, mixed in with rain and it'll be a muddy mess outside.
Looking pretty good that we'll head that direction.

Just chuckled at the 63 from GFS this morning...the temperature equivalent of the 20" snow forecasts.

I always wonder why they close and say use secondary roads to avoid the closure. Having used those roads at a time like that, they weren’t any better.

They said to "NOT use secondary roads," implying that there are idiots who try to find a way where there is none.

Southern MN is starting to close

Some dingus posted in a Wisconsin subreddit about whether he should drive from Cities to Chicago tomorrow. Cause blizzard was "dying down" in Minnesota and he had a Camry with new all season tires.

And there's just so many problems in that statement it's like watching natural selection in action.

Yep Buffalo gets bombarded with rain today, now 3-4 feet by Sunday night, melts a week later, this is after 3-4 feet a few weeks ago, that melted a week later. Seems like an incredible place tbh.

I actually didn't mind that person as much because they seemed to be more asking "what's the conditions like in Wisconsin" and were really receptive to the other posters telling them not to travel. And I get the desire to be home for christmas.

I get a lot more annoyed at the yahoos saying "this is normal winter weather, why are we cancelling school" and referencing the boy who cried wolf

I see the edit now that they aren't going. It seemed pretty clueless to think a car would be a great snow vehicle....also that the blizzard was done at noon. Any weather info could have told them stuff wasn't done yet. But glad they are staying home.
