Unless you have a dirt floor in your basement, the water lined one is not a possibility, to my knowledge. They do have some electrical webbings that go under the carpet and pad. Of course that won't work if power goes out. You can probably get a decent generator (during the summer when prices are not as tough) and get the electrical stuff done for a couple thousand, if you have power outages much. Much cheaper if you feel comfortable doing any electrical work yourself and much more cheaper if you do it the way I did it but is not the way you are supposed to do it.
been very rare, cross fingers. my parents are end of the line with a farm and lost power frequently enough that they did buy a generator and have loved it. Spot where they'd had to hook the tractor up to the line to create power was right in the driveway so anytime milk truck could make it or needed to leave to feed cattle down the road, had to unhook and hook back up. Plus could only run 1 big thing at at time. So either run milk pump or mix feed, but not both.
