Increased risk of significant flooding, sure. Snow on the ground well into May, very doubtful. It gets very hard to keep temperatures suppressed that far south for sustained periods of time, even with snowpack, once you start pushing into April. The snow goes rapidly with a few long, sunny days in the mid 50's and lows that don't dip below freezing.
Then there’s that extra hour of sunlight we get with DST that we didn’t have during Standard Time, that really gets the melting going.

What's this storm later this week looking like for driving to KC? Is Wednesday gonna be ok?

Damn you're having a good March Tahoe now KC for the tourney. Color me jealous (but in a good for you, not in a mean way)

I thought this sht only happened during *girls* state tournament week.
Fun fact, this week used to be girls state week. They moved everything up about 10 years or so ago to try and get the NCAA tournament in the well. The boys state tournament used to take place the 1st week of the NCAA’s.

The GFS which for a better part of a week has been forecasting S. Dakota and southern Minny getting buried......have now moved it right over western and central Iowa.

Them being dead wrong about this would be appreciated.
