If it really starts getting goofy, I'm throwing our laptops in their respective bags.

My thoughts of things to have with you if you need to shelter
- phones/portable electronics and their respective chargers
-Wallets/IDs/important papers/medical insurance cards
-Closed toe shoes and socks
-water/snacks
-any cash you may have in the house. Don't need it blowing away
-thick blankets/pillows/comforters for protection
-your pets' leash/carrier (along with your pets)

Felt like typing this out as I've had it running through my head.

Anybody translate hieroglyphics for us peasants?

yeah I see a lot of these but they're always ones for storm days, I need to see like a normal or very weak storm day example so I can tell what the hell to look for

Any updates on the trend/outlook for central IA? All the warnings are still there but the short term forecasts seem to have died down a bit. Debating on whether to head home from work early.
