Same thing that's weakening Milton as it comes on short (slightly) is actually aiding in tornadogenesis in the outer bands of Milton. Tornado outbreak happening now in Florida ahead of landfall. Some of the image I've seen gives Midwest/Plains chase type vibes. Crazy.

The Cortez Florida weather station at the maritime museum seems to be the highest gusts I’ve seen so far. Six inches of rain, 75 MPH gusts. Pressure has dropped from 29.8 to 28.8 in a matter of a couple hours.

Go to wundermap and under layers click precipitation. Saw one weather station had 27 inches already. Another 17. Both just east of Bradenton.
