Workman has to be close to averaging an error per start. He really hasn't shown he's a MLB at this point.

Add to that the Cubs just wasted some scoring chances.
  • 2nd & 3rd with no out in 2nd inning - no runs
  • bottom of 6th and Happ gets thrown out at plate. Feel like if he goes head first, he scores.
Add to that, the consistent problem that Cub relievers can't throw strikes. IMO they rely on batters chasing out of zone too much. Put the ball in the zone, but move it around- up/down, in/out.
Workman had never played above AA ball and that's where he'd be sent to in our system, if we could. He should be gone tomorrow.
