No matter what time deadline is which has shifted over years there's always a flurry of deals right at deadline. I still think Cubs will make another move. The impact I'm less sure of

24 minutes to land Cabera and we check all the boxes. Sure Suarez would of been great but Castro is a player we can resign and still be able to sign Tucker or a big time starter like Peralta.

I'd even take Alcantara if miami wants to deal him. I think he'll have much better 2nd half with a new club

I despise this sentiment. This organization is intentionally resetting the luxury tax whilst having clean books in 2027.

The goal should be to build a championship caliber team this year, but next year is when you have the money to get stupid. But you can throw that away if you get stupid this year.
