I expect the Cubs to lose at least 3 to the Brewers and that’s pretty much gonna wrap up the division. This is a .500 team that was hot early.

just way too much going wrong to compete. Go figure.

About mid August is when I’ll start getting nervous. A lot can change in that 5 game series with the Brewers.
The Brewers won't keep winning at this rate the rest of the season. But what that are doing right now is impressive. Cubs have to figure out how to keep them at arms length.

Remember our FO was content to basically do nothing
Because the FO doesn’t believe this team is fully ready for a playoff run. It’s frustrating as fans, but I get and understand where they are coming from when you step back and look at it. Would Suarez or a Cabrera really make us WS contenders this year? Likely not. Too many holes elsewhere

And to think Hoyer thought Counsell was the reason the Brewers won, when he managed there.
Go figure.

Their pitching is so much better than the Cubs. It is not even close. Now they are only 23 behind run scored and have better run differential than Cubs. Our fans are really underestimating the Brewers. We are not more talented than the Brewers. They have 3 legitimate aces while we have none.

Cubs barely have 3 starting pitchers, period.

We would have won at least 2 more games if we had traded for Suarez and Mason Miller.
