your mom and I were just talking.....my buddy and i were just talking about how it was VERY rare for school to be cancelled the night before back in the days of my high school years (07-10) and that wasn't even that long ago.

I don't think it happens that often these days either. I can only remember it happening a few times since I've had kids, and it's a pain in the ass not knowing what the morning routine is going to be when you go to bed. I remember it happening a few times when I was a kid, and one time it was a total bust and all we got was some flurries.my buddy and i were just talking about how it was VERY rare for school to be cancelled the night before back in the days of my high school years (07-10) and that wasn't even that long ago.
I wonder what schools will do if we have a winter like those years? 2008 and 2010 were nasty winters with snow every week, even multiple times a week. A winter like those probably means 20-30 snow days in a school year.my buddy and i were just talking about how it was VERY rare for school to be cancelled the night before back in the days of my high school years (07-10) and that wasn't even that long ago.
Canceling school the day before is a common occurrence these day, most don't do it this early, they wait till after seven or so.I don't think it happens that often these days either. Most schools have 4/5 built in snow days in their schedule, if they run over that amount they start taking days off spring or easter break. If they have too, some go to having classes on Saturday. If its really bad, schools will ask the state to lower the number of contact days that they have for the year. Some even extend the school year by adding days onto the end.I wonder what schools will do if we have a winter like those years? 2008 and 2010 were nasty winters with snow every week, even multiple times a week. 33 years young, you stud.I pictured you as older, means your mom is about my age. No wonder she’s still a nymph.

Better start driving now.So about my 11 AM flight to Florida from DSM tomorrow...
Just saw that. Central Iowa getting the load of it.Seems like the Des Moines NWS updated their forecast to favor a more northern track. It doesn’t look like they boosted the totals for DSM, but it does look like far southeast Iowa got lowered from 6-8 down to 4-6.
Laughs in skid steer loader.I have one of each. If it’s light and fluffy like they say, I’ll use my single stage every time. It’s so much easier to maneuver than my two stage.
Two stage is reserved for wet, heavy snow.
Someone missed a golden opportunity to put 6-9”KCCI latest:

DH is supposed to fly into DSM mid-afternoon from San Antonio. If that happens, I think he'll stay the night in Des Moines. So about my 11 AM flight to Florida from DSM tomorrow...
There are some that just can’t handle more than inch or two.Schools already canceling tomorrow. We go a couple years without snow and everyone freaks out when we're gonna get a few inches.
