Um we ran all over WSU!! False starts are on the player, not the coach.
Oh, you listened to the announcers too! Man they were biased. Constantly pointing out "errors" by the Clones but not Washington. End the game with the sound turned off. They were just horrible. They must have been PAC12 announcers or something. Brutal

I can only assume you are being sarcastic. You change a coach because players false start. Wow.
Well, was a fun game and good crowd. In addition to the false starts it seemed like our OL was out if sync on lots of plays and not getting off the ball on lots of other plays. I think ISU had the talent advantage, but WSU was much sharper obviously. Just too many mistakes, including unforced errors. And I'm sure the Poor Enyi targeting call has been discussed.
In my opinion, the loss came down to 4 things:
1. Coaching: idk what the playcall was on the 2 point conversion, but that was terrible. Sending Assalley out for another long field goal was a bad idea from the get go, IMO. We should have gone for it.
2. Offensive Line: 7 false starts. This speaks for itself, but absolutely killed 2 drives and the 2 point conversion
3. Officiating: My god they were horrible. 1 iffy targeting, 1 that absolutely wasn’t. Took out 2 of our best defensive players. Then, the pass that was called incomplete in the fourth quarter was a clear catch, and they didn’t even go to review it. In addition to this, they missed a ton of calls on Wazzu. They false started multiple times (including their touchdown)
4. Obviously the real reason we lost: The band played Sweet Caroline before the game even started

Not false starting is a coaching thing. Show me a well coached OL that has 7 freaking false starts.
Back at my hotel from the game. Like everyone I'm pissed and frustrated at some of the things that cost us tonight. My main point of this post is to thank the players for playing their ***** off tonight. Damn proud of this group and the future is only going to get brighter.
2 legit targeting calls. Peavy got away with another.
The second "targeting" call was a hit job. There was no impact... his helmet was pulled off by the combination of the arm of one defender and the helmet .... It wasn't even called by the official staring at it. Is targeting suddenly an automatic ejection? That call was insane.
Harvey's was absolutely targeting.
Agree on the 2 point but how many teams false start on a 2 point conversion?
DM fumbles...Purdy throws picks....Oline false starts....missed tackles....dline out of lanes...bad calls/no calls...all in the same game. Crazy.
Oline played well enough to win. Not normal for us to have that many procedure penalties. Our line was weak this year but they played decent last night.
They were better in this game. Not great, but better. The penalties were killers though.
The highlights they showed of the game showed all Washington State plays, and insinuated that Washington State belonged in a bigger bowl. Backhanded compliment to us I guess.
