Everyone must understand. When we make a shot it is lucky, when we miss is it lack of skill, execution, or talent. Let's all get with the program, shall we?

When the other team plays physical D but gets 4x less fouls, ISU is the luckiest team in universe. I understand. When an opposing player kicks ISU and gets rewarded that’s like finding a 4 leaf clover.

I really like how Tre fits on this team. Obviously they were already tough defensively and going for loose balls, et cetera. But Tre King is tough in a different way with his strength and he's a bit more "in your face" in the way he plays.
I'll go so far as to say Tre was the second player of the game for us. Down the stretch he made about 4 critical plays split between offense and defense. His physicality is different from anyone else on this team. I like everything about his 18 minutes except for the one 3 he attempted.

Grill was amazing too. How often does a player like him jump off the tape when his scoring output is so bad? 1-6, 3pts but had a hell of a game rebounding and defense. Couple nice assists too.

I love Watson too, and REALLY want him to grow into a solid player with us. Seems like a great young man. But Lampkin completely owned him down low. Lampkin for TCU just outmuscled him the vast majority of the game. Dude is a beast. lol
Watson had an amazing block that TCU eventually scored on so it might not make the highlight reels

Tre King is one of those guys that makes HUGE hustle plays on defense. Active with deflections and other plays that don’t show up with the box score. I think we really lucked out getting this transfer. Seems like a level-headed guy too..

Grill and Gabe were a combined 2 for 11 from 3 and the team was 3 for 9 from the FT line. How exactly did ISU win this game? TCU was 46.5% from 3 coming into the game at 28%. Guess they just fought their way to this win.
We out rebounded them by 5 it looks like so pretty even. But shot 63% from two! And nice to see they only took 16 threes since they weren't falling.

Osun and Jones completely took Lampkin out of the game. There were 2 plays in a row near the end of the first half where he got 2 offensive rebounds and a put back bucket. The rest of the game he had 4 pts and 1 rebound.

Yes. I thought you "dumbed" my post (#718), but have since removed the dumb.

If I am mistaken, no biggie. I stand by the post.

Great to get another road win. When will I be able to trust that this team is actually pretty good? Every road game feels like it is going to be a repeat of the trip to Iowa City to me. The big thing about this game is that ISU shot like crap from the 3 point line and still won. The two wins before this Grill was really hitting the 3s the win the game.

Get 2 wins over the next 1.5 weeks and maybe we can start to wonder what the real ceiling is for this group.

Right now I just want 5-6 more conference wins before March.

According to Miles, he's quite pleased with the game! "It showed we can play with anybody," Miles said. "We didn't play our best game on either defense or offense. We shot bad from the line, we had a lot of turnovers, and we still only lost by two. It shows how good of a team we are.""

Still interesting to see teams talk about the amount of turnovers against us and seemed surprised by it. Like they normally don't turn it over that much, but for some reason they did today.
