Valid point. End of day it was a prayer. Sometimes prayers are answered.I saw that but isn't that half court? He wasn't at half court he was 3/4 court which is much tougher than half court.

LOL God damnit. They freaking made a 3/4 shot. Man, it sucks more and more as this morning goes along. Like a literal 1 in a 100 shot. A miracle shot. An "All-timer" for Arizona.I saw that but isn't that half court? He wasn't at half court he was 3/4 court which is much tougher than half court.
Very true, I'd say we are in pretty good shape to get Milwaukee at this point.I was up till 1 AM watching a basketball game. the last thing i care about right now is spelling.
Ill go look at that, thanks.
It does say its based on projection, and it has us as the 2 seed in Milwaukee. Honestly, if we dont get a one seed, i feel like thats not a bad consolation prize. We dont have a Hilton NE yet
They're already calling it the McKale Miracle. Sucks we had to be part of that lol.LOL God damnit. They freaking made a 3/4 shot. Man, it sucks more and more as this morning goes along. Like a literal 1 in a 100 shot. A miracle shot. An "All-timer" for Arizona.
I got nothing to add besides my hot take of “that sucked”
Remember the Kansas game in Lawrence, Fred coaching, got beat on a long banked 3... If I remember correctly, I kind of blacked outWhen Fred was coach.....I can't remember his name from Okie State, but was one the nations best free throw shooters miss the back end of a 1-1 only to have Naz Long go down and tie it up at the buzzer and then ISU going on and winning in OT after being behind a majority of the game.
Crap happens.
One of the best parts about basketball, especially the regular season, is that you don't have time to sulk about the last game because you have another one coming up soon. 24 hour rule and back to business.I can't quite get over how bad something like that would suck for the guys that played/coached. I felt miserable as a dude that watched it, drank whiskey then went to bed. I can't imagine being a guy who fought for 40 minutes, or a coach that has to second guess his decisions. Credit to anyone that can truly turn the page mentally after that.
Good point. I think part of it also might be with teams trying to stop Cujo, it opens up things for Keshon.Keshon seems like he doesn't play as well when he isn't "the guy". When it was visible that cujo just didn't have it last night keshon played with a lot more aggression.
Yep, Ben Mclemore with Tyrus Mcgee just laughing at the absurdity of it.Remember the Kansas game in Lawrence, Fred coaching, got beat on a long banked 3... If I remember correctly, I kind of blacked out
And things even out. At Tech dude should have made that bunny.
This was his 4th best shooting gane in conference out of 9 games. The better games were TCU and UCF at home, and at OSU. He can be worse. He was 1-10 before the heave. He can't be much worse

I was actually jumping for joy, letting out a couple of yes!!! screams in my basement while Fran was talking about what a great job it was pulling off two wins on this road trip. I don't think I have ever celebrated a win, that wasn't actually a win before. This is the part I’m struggling with psychologically as well. Outside of that stupid 100% luck shot with the game 99.875% over, that was a great win.

I don’t think they will fall far? Arizona was favored. And the SEC is going to continue to hang losses on itself. You know what? Not as mad this morning. This will be a ding to our rankings, but if what it takes to beat us is a) a comeback from 18 down and a tip at the buzzer back when we were not using Jefferson as much or b) a last second 3/4 court prayer, then so be it. Unlikely many teams can pull that off. The other loss to WV I won't even talk about because I doubt tourney refs will be that garbage.
It's also been whats led to most of jones and gilberts success this season, and several of the points in this game as well. Were they unforced turnovers from forcing it into the lane on the dribble or not?
Has that not been a thing all season including what led to Auburn's last possession?
I think last night more so than WV showed what we can do with the target on our back.Just a really unlucky couple weeks for ISU. Milan breaks his hand. Playing WVU in a fixed Jerry West Day game. Houston wins a game at KU they 99% should lose. Houston easily could have lost to UCF too. Then ISU loses a game they were 99% likely to win. Could be tied for first and humming, but instead are 2 games back.
ISU already had a harder schedule than Houston and didn’t really need luck to break for them too.
