It seemed like the gameplan was scoring at the rim. Many, many ineffective low post feeds in the first half. At least Curtis is keeping us in it with his play. Agree the defense is ineffective, you can't have that on the road.
Dribbling and throwing it around the 3 point line is all I see. When they have given Jasckon a chance to bang in the lane he has done all right. They are doubling quite a bit, so feed it in there and have him be decisive, go straight to the rim and draw the foul or whip it out right away. He hesitates and even brings the ball down too much.

Seriously? Give it a rest. They just beat WV on the road. We're going to get a rock fight from every team. It's halftime and they shot out of their minds.
If you're #3 and playing on the road you're going to get a different effort than if your opponents were playing KSU or Colorado. It is what it is. Being #3 means you have what it takes to overcome that.

You give a great shooter a wide open look with 1.9 on the shot clock?

Yeah we deserve to be down 7. What an atrocious effort

Effort is fine. Hard to play defense when its impossible to know what a foul is. I don't care if they call it right or call it loose, but you gotta be consistent

Geriatric refs need to go. The speed of the game has passed these refs by. It's really pathetic

They went fairly soft defensively after it was apparent that this ref crew was by the far the most whistle happy crew so far this season. Everyone is trying to avoid foul trouble at this point. Half of the and-ones at the rim were questionable.

Every other conference game was a blood bath in the first half. This crew calls it like a middle school game.

Hopefully they swallow them a bit in the second half and let us pick the intensity up.

I feel like it was whistle happy until you got 2 fouls. Then they weren’t going to call the third.

The biggest issue with Milan being out is bench scoring. We're getting pretty much nothing when Heise, Chatfield and Watson come in. Jones coming off the bench gives more scoring options with a 2nd line.
Didn't think struggles on defense was going to be a problem but this doesn't look good

Unfortunately there aren't many young refs emerging. It's been posted that the shortage runs deep.

Horrible effort against a bad team. Great game plan and execution by a really low skilled ASU team to get great looks all half.

team just looks a step slow.
Yeah they aren't playing well at all. But ASU is playing at their peak. Got their stud back from injury, got the football trophy in the house, have hit key threes to keep the crowd engaged... they are full of energy and effort. Its gonna be like that every road game when you are #3.

ASU is playing their "A" game. Clones... more like their "FAFO" game...
