The guy who took my takeout order before the game asked the name of the "bird on my shirt" and I told him "Cy". Then he put in my order as "Cy" and they called out "Order ready for CY" when I got my food.

I went home, ate this "Cy" meal as we pulled off the win. I think it must have had an impact.

Announcers were really concerned about how we'd handle the adversity. Memo to announcers, these kids have experienced every type of adversity that a football player can go through in their careers. Hardened. That's how I'd describe this team.

Honestly, it would take me years to get used to being a team that bounces back strong from tough plays. I mean it is really out of the ordinary for ISU football but against Tech, OU and TCU it's like we just do not wilt even slightly to a gut punch play.

My guess at our ranking for next week: #16. And should be higher.

In terms of just typical, who won, who loss we'll move up at least 4-5 spots. But two wins over top 5 teams in 4 games really calls for a bigger jump than usual. Then the Tech and KU games in between were total domination.

The media is going to try really hard to put Ohio St in the top 3 or 4...I just don't know how you can have them more than a spot higher than Oklahoma if OU and ISU both keep winning. I mean that Oklahoma win in Columbus was a BEATDOWN that was only as close as it was because Ohio State got gifted a few scores by bad calls in garbage time when the game was over.

Hey, anybody got that map of the US from last week where the winner takes over the loser's territory?

It really is kind of crazy that there are no teams geographically close to us other than Wisconsin who are playing better than ISU. To the north, south and west you can really only point to Washington.

The stadium was rocking tonight. Can't wait to go home and watch the game on the DVR. I didn't even know who caught the final interception, crowd was that wild and was great to be a part of it.

Dilly effin Dilly.
