Recent set-lists say they play all the classics. A couple other bands based on what you are looking forward to that I would recommend are Cloud Nothings, Amasa Hines, Head for the Hills, and Empires.Heading down from North Iowa around noon.
My top most-excited for in order:
1) Natural Child. Huge fan, never seen them live.
2) Wilco. Huge fan, seen them several times and they never disappoint. Nels Cline's guitar will slay tonight.
3) Weezer. They were my first real concert. Hilton in '02. As long as they stick with the classics and stay away from the new ****, this will be fantastic.
4) Jenny Lewis. Pretty solid artist, and should translate well live. Plus, I get to look at her.
A big drop off after that. Hope to find someone new. Fly Golden Eagle, The Orwells and Hot Buttered Rum sound like they could be pretty good.
Really disappointed with the lineup this year. Weezer should not be a headliner. I feel like 80/35 has gotten worse and not better since it started as far as who they can get. I'm hoping that by moving weekends they can draw bigger crowds and then get better acts for upcoming years
This is the set list Weezer played Wednesday night. I would love a repeat Saturday night.
- My Name Is Jonas
- Hash Pipe
- Perfect Situation
- Back to the Shack
- Eulogy for a Rock Band
- Keep Fishin'
- Surf Wax America
- Island in the Sun
- Beverly Hills
- Go Away
- Dope Nose
- Say It Ain't So
- Tired of Sex
- (If You're Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To
- Pork and Beans
- Undone - The Sweater Song
- Encore:
- Memories
- Buddy Holly
This is by far their best line-up IMO. St. Vincent and David Byrne give it a run for its money, but Wilco, Weezer, RTJ, and St Lucia are heavy hitters in music right now.Completely disagree, this will have the biggest turnout because of Weezer and the weekend change.

I think solely based on turnout, this year will surpass Modest Mouse and Spoon as the biggest 80-35 to date.... I also think top to bottom, this lineup is way better than the St Vincent and David Byrne and Wu Tang, year. I just think they follow the pitchfork.com/SXSW trend when making selections because of this most of the music you will hear is not mainstream, unless you listen to XM-Radio(XMU, Alt Nation, Spectrum).... Or research your music.....This is by far their best line-up IMO. St. Vincent and David Byrne give it a run for its money, but Wilco, Weezer, RTJ, and St Lucia are heavy hitters in music right now.
Also disagree, they have had 2-4 great song on every album, until this last one, which to me was back to their old style (Blue Album, Pinkerton, Maldroit), easy to listen front to back......Weezer is a nostalgia act who hasn't been making relevant or good music for 20 years.
