I’m so excited about this team but I just get a bad feeling in my chest looking at the middle of our schedule. 2021 killed me with those losses to baylor, WV, and TT - all games we were chalking up as wins. The middle of this schedule is very similar

Unless he's injured, which appears not to be the case according to CMC, then I don't understand why people are feeling bad for JJ?? It's sports. You either good enough to play, or you need to play better.

I was never good enough to play football for ISU... is anyone feeling sorry for me for that?
He was suited up on the sideline. From what I saw last year, JJ did not look comfortable out there and would take off running before letting a play develop.

After what I saw from Moberly today, I think he's gonna be really good. His acceleration is insane. Looked like he hit his top speed after just a few steps.

Rocco started slow, receivers had some early drops, would have liked to see a bigger game from Sama, but whatever, nice to see us hang a big number on the board against an inferior team.

There are probably numerous Big 12 fanbases feeling like this now, but we absolutely have a chance to have a big year and I'll be disappointed with less than 9-10 wins now, there isn't anyone in the Big 12 this year who I look at and say we probably can't beat that team.

Basing an evaluation on a spot true freshman performance is a stretch. Especially considering the relative states of the team. Not much comparison between this year’s OL, and what it looked like against UNI last year.

Also, assuming that JJ isn’t dinged up just because he’s suited up also seems like a stretch. If he’s healthy but #3, why didn’t he get a series late, like everyone else did?

Sure, maybe to maximize Moberly’s snaps in his limit of four games, but I’ll wait to see more.

Rocco has started a little slow and then found his groove each game this young season. Hope he's hot outta the gate down in Houston.

Also, Moberly looks like he's for real. It's really nice to know we've got a very capable guy in case Rocco goes down. Connor adds another dimension with his legs

Oddly, I did not see any Ark. State fans yesterday. Not a one. I'm sure there were some at the game?

This offensive line is starting to look more reliable. Pass protection especially has been good. We also have a stable of big specialized TE that are going to give defensive coordinators nightmares. Several options at running back and elite receivers and QB play. Not to mention the defense is still good to great. This team is legit.

Agreed, I was really bummed we didn't get much from Sama given how well we ran the ball overall in the game. Would have been nice to really get him going.

This is a dream schedule for the start of a season. Including the bye week. As much for OC Mouse as the rest of the team.

OLine play will determine how good this offense can be. LB play will determine how good the defense can be. Our weakness will be run heavy teams with good run defenses (Iowa).

I'm not worried about the defense.

I wonder if his ankle is still a little dinged from the 3rd quarter injury game one, not that we'd ever hear a word about it. Just making sure he's 100% for Big 12 season

Didn’t get much from Sama? He was a few carries shy of Hansen and Jackson.

To me it looks like Jackson is earning carries and playing time. Also seems like they want to see what Hansen can do.

Good problems to have.

I think they’re splitting carries across a talented RB room.

Jackson has looked better between the tackles in tight spaces. Hansen has been a 3rd down back. Seems like he’s better in pass pro.
