You know what else is different about this team from the past few years? They actually tend to play better in the 2nd half of ballgames! How about that? Even without any depth. Amazing.

What happens when we get some depth? Thats fun to think about.

well, I wish we had our old coach back, what's his name???? He would of never let the Cyclones embarrass a good team like that...:realmad:

It is amazing how the Clones were the guys hustling and fighting to the end of the game, and Baylor just plan gave up and let the game slip away. Love the fight in this team, and hope they can just keep it up. How many guys played tonight, 7?

Sorry to break it to you, but McD did beatdown Baylor at home as well.

I think a lot of this has to do with the lack of coaching ability by Scott Drew. The guy can recruit, but he got outcoached BAD by a rookie head coach today, despite ISU being completely outmanned.

Our out of bounds plays have made a big difference. Under McD, we never scored from out of bounds. In fact, we fell out of bounds a few times.

This game was huge. Without it, I think we would have started 0-5. This team has a lot of heart but you need a REWARD once in a while and they got it tonight. Now it's off to OSU and MU. With the monkey off their back, I really think they'll find a way to steal one of those games!

If there was an award for most times stepping out of bounds last year... we'd have to be in the running..

Stepping out of bounds, dribbling it off our feet and clanking it off the back of the rim were all things we were good at last year.

I've got to believe that Hoiberg is somehow having an influence on our 3-point shooting. JVB hardly even hit the net on those 3s today!

One thing about the post game interviews... these basketball players really make me miss Arnaud and A-Rob even more. Those two should give the other players seminars about how to give a good interview!

We were just better tonight. Out-hustled them and the shots were falling. Some questionable coaching moves by Drew - haven't been impressed by him on gameday and nothing tonight changed my mind on that.

Just finished watching the game, what an effort. If there was ever a testament for why they play the games, instead of how it looks on paper, this was it. Effort, hustle, defense, and coaching, not to mention our 3pt shooting, did in Baylor. The Bears have all of that suppposed talent but it didn't do them any good. I have never been impressed by the coaching from their bench, and this game further cemented that impression. Great Win!

I almost hate to say it cause I don't want to take anything away from our guys. But On the Scott Drew thing. I watched it again. The second time around it was even more amazing. I am seriously wondering if this guy knows anything about basketball. Truly and embarrassing performance by him. To have that talent, and have absolutely no idea what you are doing with it.....how is he getting these guys to play there? That team has amazing ability, and they play like idiots, total and complete idiots. Sad actually, it is really a waste.

It really is sad.

I will never understand why they did not go after Scotty to get that 4th foul. Guy was on fire, you try to force him out of the game.
