C-Dub is going to have one of the turf management guys on a podcast soon, looking forward to it.The field is in embarrassingly bad shape. Not sure what the heck went wrong. We had a reputation for great turf management.
Sprinkled a bit a couple hours ago. Our field is just complete garbage this year for some reason.Did it rain in Ames - honestly just curious.
We will do ok in the fourth down two scores when panic ball sets in*wont make adjustments
I do, but we didn’t get any transfers in the offseason. They rolled out the same linebackers. Do people not remember how terrible and slow they looked against Memphis?Lolol you do realize we are on 4th stringers right
So since we just replaced the turf and went with the hybrid turf what is the next steps? Fake turf? Why is ours so bad?
They aren’t slipping on top of the grass. Guys are trying to cut and taking out massive divots. It’s like the grass has no roots.C-Dub is going to have one of the turf management guys on a podcast soon, looking forward to it.
Apparently dew late in the evening has contributed to the slick conditions. And all these night games aren't helping the issue.
Agree. It's always looked fabulous... but all I can remember is players constantly slipping on it year after year.I always feel the "award winning field" thing is overplayed due to so many schools, especially up north, switching to turf
