This 2017 class I would rate a "C" right now. If we get a good Juco center that can play solid defense and rebound. I would put it into an A-/Bplus range. Just seeing how bad our low post play is right now is scary. However, a Juco center, with Lard getting some minutes and learning the big 12. We will be alright. Love Wiggington

If Fred was here they most likely would have had a 5 star by now. The coaching change threw some things off but if Prohm keeps winning he will get one.

Two of you recently brought up Niang's foot. Can somebody now mention that stupid little school from Virginia, AJ Granger's moving picks and that dumb recruit that went to UNLV for the "Pro style" offense. I'm not totally cried out yet.

I'm not sure if it's via ignorance or sheer will of proving you're right, but you're glossing over a big fact about Oregon. Think now.
What's the big fact about Oregon. And I'm not wrong. You need 5 star recruits to win. Every championship team in the last 20 year more than likely has a 5 star on it

If you're judging program success on national championships, I suggest you follow a different team. It's not a fair standard. Iowa State can get to a Final Four with multiple 4-star, 4-year players and a lucky strike on a JUCO here and there. That's our formula. Until that happens, 5-star players won't come to Ames, Iowa. We're not going to hire dad or uncle or handler to get our five stars.

Its not about the one player. It's about filling a need. If we don't fill that need. The class suffers because they are playing without a player we need. A juco that can come in and average 8-10 points a game and rebound and guard the other teams posts players while having a young one thacan learn and add minutes is huge. I am not saying the three we got are not good. Love all 3. However, ,, it's glaring how bad we are in the post and we need someone who can come in and fill the gap. Without that. I say a C

Yup, scroll through this list and you can see how few teams win a championship.

Isn't Maryland the only team to win a championship without a McDonald's all American since McDonalds all Americans came about?

It's not like we're not going to address our post needs. I think our fall class is a lot better than a C grade just in Wigginton and Lewis. You do realize we lose our entire starting back court right? It's not like we just needed to focus on bigs

My point is if we end up with Post players like Merrill Holden we will be right back to where we started. A bunch of great guards who are trying to compete without an inside presents to help them.

If we didn't get Wigginton, Lewis and McNeill we'd be a bunch of poor guards who are trying to compete without an inside presence to help them

The solution's obvious. We just need to find some 6'10" guys that are athletic, play defense and can shoot & handle the ball. Simple. Why has this never been brought up before?
