Diallo who barely plays 5 minutes a game for KU at #11
Sadly this is how the NBA draft now, all on young potential...if Svy goes, he will probably get drafted and he barely plays. Half these guys will be out of the league in 2-3 years. I can't even watch the NBA anymore

and no way Ashton is on scholarship next year. I bet he transfers as immediate eligible as he wants to play

Ernst and Carter are on the same level. In my opinion ernst gets the white guy from Iowa treatment. Carter getss the black guy with athletic ability and upside treatment. Even though they are probably even on athletic ability. Ernst has been hurt. We will see if either is ask to leave. I assume it depends on if we get someone better.

Draft express is a much better mock draft site than nbadraft.net
http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-mock-draft/2016/

Wow, this is quite different... happy to see Monte's chances are pretty good then. Although I do wonder why they have Buddy so low (at 22). It's pretty ironic that they have Diallo going 11 after seeing the game last night.... he was nowhere to be seen, Buddy dominated the game.

But anyways, back to 2017 recruiting.

Oh and Ellis is on that list bc of the name he has across his chest that is all. Niang is a million times better. Look out I said first on here Niang will be drafted by The Mayor.
I feel like Fred will sign Georges as an undrafted FA

CF never disappoints. Came for the 2017 recruiting news..stayed for the Niang/Morris to the NBA arguments. Classic!

I thought this was a 2017 recruiting thread... oh well. Draft Express is one of the few sites that have Monte drafted. What is working against him is the Golden State phenomenon. People are looking for dead eye guards that can open things up. Monte is more akin to Rubio right now. Great handles, good decisions, outstanding A/TO ration, but doesn't excite people with his shooting. It isn't just about his lack of scoring, it is about the lack of spacing his lack of a legit 3 point threat creates (even at the college level) that makes him so much less attractive as a prospect. If he was playing in the Jason Kidd days of point guards, he would likely be a first round pick. Unless he becomes big time outside scorer during the Big 12 and NCAA's, I don't expect him to be drafted even if he declares.

Buddy takes a ton of shots that he misses. He is an igniter. He can jump around the rim, but he is no deadeye **** at times.

I would say 46 percent from three is the definition of deadeye, but that's just me.

At NCAA range, in our offense (with a ton of other options to generate open looks), against college defenses. He's a good spot-up, "I'm super open" shooter, which is what our offense is designed to give our guards. But he isn't the "that was ridiculous" shooter that NBA teams are wanting.

You must be thinking of another Buddy. Besides, even if you were right, Kyle Korver made a career out of being a spot up shooter.

I'm guessing Sigmapolis is referring to Morris, not Hield.

Kyle Korvers stroke and height make Buddy Hield look like a ball boy. Hield is great in college but he shot puts half his shots and doesn't really have any lift. He knows this too, which is why it looks like he spent all off season learning how to handle and get to the rim viably.
