Good news and sounds like we continue to prioritize him. Is it just me, or did that article make it sound cool and all but he really wants that OU offer? Never mind, probably just me, wanting to scoop up a 2017 pg already. lol

Darius Perry update, not sure if his ISU comment about not having any superstars but good player a little backhanded?
Prob fair and I'm a little sensitive due to being a fan.

He's only 17 or so. May have just been poorly worded but well intended. I do that occasionally too and I'm far more experienced at talking at the age of 41.

Anyway, we don't really have any superstar 1st rounders at this point and maybe that's what he means.

Think we got the most name drops. For no stars he knows our players pretty well.

I have zero issue with what he said. We have no NBA locks and maybe he was looking at it from that aspect but even if not no problem

Weekend roundup by rivals on some Wisconsin targets.
Tyler Herro didn't mention ISU on his list.
"6-foot-4 shooting guard Tyler Herro from the class of 2018 didn't make the cut. Not because he wasn't worthy, but an in-person evaluation was needed. After watching the smooth shooter from Milwaukee (Wisc.) Whitnall do work for the Wisconsin Playground Warriors, he's one that should merit consideration for four-star status. He has to work hard at times to create, but his handle is strong and his jumper, combined with good size, is a very real weapon. Herro listed offers from Wisconsin, Marquette, Green Bay, Milwaukee, Creighton, DePaul and Sam Houston State while mentioning Arizona and Kansas as the latest to show interest."

Terrence Lewis had a good performance.
"Right on the border of three and four-star status, 6-foot-5 wing Terrence Lewis of Milwaukee (Wisc.) Riverside certainly passes the look test. Saturday, the Playground Elite standout's game passed the test as well. He attacked the rim and stroked some jumpers while also playing well defensively. Lewis listed offers from Xavier, Miami, Iowa State, Illinois, Purdue, Minnesota, Marquette and Wisconsin."

Way up there

I think he was simply addressing that Georges was gone, like we no longer have our star player, either way, I don't think it was a knock on our roster.

New article by Alex Halsted:

#IowaState Iowa State Keeping in Touch with Thomas - The guard position will be one of emphasis for Iowa State ... http://on.scout.com/3ddPN9

Edit: Posted in the Conversations section:
AN UPDATE W/ 2017 SG TERRYONTE THOMAS AlexHalsted1:12 PM
Iowa State has offered and William Small is going to be in Dallas to see him between April 15-17,...

Good to see Small is getting some traction with recruits in the south region. I know TJ has been the early point man for ISU recruiting and definitely one of his strengths. TJ had the advantage of recruiting to ISU under CFH, while Prohm and his hires only could start targeting ISU level players mid way through last summer. I have been impressed with Prohm and the staff's dedication and getting out on the road early in their tenure. Only time will tell if it pays off but I am optimistic hearing about the constant contact and how many times coaches are seeing these targets in person.
