@PatLawless_: Jarred Vanderbilt, a class of 2017 SF playing for Houston Hoops (TX), just picked up offers from Oklahoma State and Iowa State.

The Pokes are going for big shots dang 4-5 star guys. If they land some of these kids they might be scary good in yr or two. I just wish ISU would land consistent 4 star guys or a 5 star. Damn South.

Probably a lot, unfortunately. These 2 are my biggest wants of who we are targeting in '17.
How can you possibly know this to be true? It is complete supposition, unless you know these kids personally. I should not just pick on you, because lots of people are moaning and groaning, and I won't put on my rose colored glasses, but this type to "guessing" is so counterproductive. For example, do you really think this turn of events with TJ comes as a surprise to SP? SP is much more in tune with recruiting than FH ever was. The main way this hurts us is if TJ tries to bring these guys to SDSU, but that means going to a mid-major. Playing in the Big 12 - one of the deepest conferences in college ball with lots of national TV exposure - compared to SDSU which is neither will make a world of difference to recruits. And TJ is about to find that out. Actually he won't, because he is smart enough to know that already.

4 star PG Nick Witherspoon ISU in his top 4 with Ohio State, Memphis, Miss St. (Brother is playing there). Small priority recruit.

What makes you say small priority recruit? If a recruit with this type of talent has any interest in us, which it sounds like he does based on that article, I would imagine he'd be a high priority guy. The way I see it, the staff is making an adjustment on prioritizing PG recruits with TJ's departure. Perhaps Weatherspoon gets bumped ahead of McKinley on the recruiting board?

Um, coach William small priority recruit? That was a great post though. Just saying.

Lol. It's actually very normal to lose a recruit because you lose the coach recruiting them.
