He's believed to be a RS candidate by pretty much everyone recruiting him. Not certain on the specific reasons, but assuming the biggest reasons have to do with him just getting here from Australia.

I think its more having to do with needing work. Pretty sure he was playing in the h.s. ESPNU game before Lindell's game a while back. Watched most of his game and he was not a factor other than being tall. Seemed behind most of the other division 1 bound players on both teams. But hey, you can't teach height, and I'm sure he has good skills. Just needs to develop and get much stronger.

So you're saying we should give him at least three months before declaring him to not be Big 12 material?

Yeah, that La Lumier team is a very solid team as well, so he was rarely getting the ball fed to him down in the post. IIRC the only buckets he had were off of offensive rebounds. But he seemed like he could move relatively well and had good bball IQ on both the defensive and offensive sides of the ball. Definitely needs work to develop his body, but would be a very solid get!

Yeah, getting him would be huge. A skilled big would really help.

National recruiting expert on 247 says he is going to need a redshirt year to develop. I agree he would be a good get but i think his skills need some work.

That makes sense. He needs to add strength to his frame. Great potential though with his size and skillset in the post.

Redshirt year seems strange given his ranking but maybe that ranking is based on potential.

His ranking will come down, according to one evaluator. Still seems like he would be a good player to take with 3-4 open scholarships.

If you miss, he can transfer. If he's got great potential, he would be worth developing.

RS would spread out those 7 scholarships as well, crazy amount for a non-UK class.

This 2017 class I would rate a "C" right now. If we get a good Juco center that can play solid defense and rebound. I would put it into an A-/Bplus range. Just seeing how bad our low post play is right now is scary. However, a Juco center, with Lard getting some minutes and learning the big 12. We will be alright. Love Wiggington
Wigginton up to the #31 recruit according to Rivals. Still a C?

Well, his post wasn't devaluing Wigginton, but the entire class due to not filling a major need. I'm guessing he was already thrilled with getting Wigginton, and Wigginton being in the 30's as opposed to the 60's does not tangibly change anything.

Personally it seems faulty to have his desired role player of a juco big move an entire class from a C to an A-. Hopefully he gets his centerpiece.

You realize getting Wigginton, Lewis and McNeill filled a major need right?

You guys overreact to what people say. The same people complaining about not having a low post guy are pointing to the three good players we have. All I am saying is wee need to fill a need badly. We need a judo post to make this class great. If we don't get one. Sure we have some good players. Once again we will all be complaining about not having a low post next year.

We'll get a JUCO post, who knows how good he'll be though. The biggest need in this class was a PG and Prohm hit a home run

PG is a very important position so Wigginton was a big get, but we graduate 6 SR's and our entire starting 5. Every position is a big need in this class.

That's not necessary Prohm's fault because our classes have been unbalanced, but ultimately he's the one that has to straighten it out.

It would be great if we could land Yetna. That would give us a strong core of players. Then you can grab the best available shooter/scorer from the transfer market or junior college and play through your youth next season.
