Buzz growing with George Conditt.

"All summer long I'd been wanting to get a look at big man George Conditt of Team RWA out of the Chicago area. It took until his very last game on the very last day of the summer for our schedules to match up, but I was able to see him -- Corey Evans also saw him earlier in the day -- and I have to say I'm pretty intrigued.
I still need more time to study his game, but Conditt impressed with the way he moves around the floor. He looks to have a good skill level and I can't help but think he has the tools to be a high major contributor once he adds weight to what is currently a slightly built frame.
Illinois has offered and I saw head coach Brad Underwood watching. Arizona State, Colorado, New Mexico (head coach Paul Weir watched), VCU, Iowa State, Washington, Saint Louis and Houston are just a few of the many others who have jumped into the mix.
What stood out to me about Conditt the most, though, how much he cared about the game. A loss in the final game of the summer and in a championship game really stung the young big man. In a landscape where kids get over losses quickly because there's always another game to play, it's nice to see how much the game still matters to a kid like Conditt."

Will be interesting to see if ISU spends some time down in Ottumwa this winter recruiting. They've added a few d1 transfers in addition to Christian Matthews

Kevin Dorsey
6-1 180 lb guard from Colorado St
Averaged 6.8 ppg 2.3 rpg 1.4 apg in 18 minutes per game his freshman year at Minnesota in 2015-16

Corey Manigualt
6-8 230 forward from Pittsburg
0.8 ppg 0.8 rpg in 4.4 mpg. Was a top 200 kid out of HS with good high major offers

Robert Montgomery
6-6 225 forward from St. Francis
5.2 ppg 4.6 rpg 1.1 bpg 0.5 apg in 18 minutes per game.
I don't think we want to deal with Kevin Dorsey.

Fast forward to the 3:00 minute mark and he is specifically asked about Iowa State. Continues to talk about his recruitment more after that. He says he was most shocked to hear from Oregon and Butler (haven't offered yet). And also says he doesn't have a set timeline on his recruitment but would be ready to pull the trigger whenever he finds the right fit. I think it would be advantageous for us to get an unofficial in the next couple weeks and/or an official in September.

ISU was watching Phillips this weekend and has offered.

Best Player
While in years past, there was one clear cut standout, this year three players from the Peach come to mind. Nelson Phillips (pictured) cemented himself as a certified high major recruit and did so in a cool way, returning to his local program, Warner Robins All Stars. Usually players make the reverse transition going from small program to shoe team. However, Phillips shined all year and made himself a top 120 recruit nationally.

Added bonus two first names is alway a crowd pleaser. ;)
