Iowa State: “Timmy is a poster boy for Iowa State; tough and rugged. They recruited his older brother and then started seeing him. He’s the epitome of Iowa State basketball.”

“The five he has is the five it is. We’re moving on. Everyone is committing so you’ve got to take your spot. He doesn’t have time to drag it out. He’s going to find what he wants.”

His coach seemed really high on Utah, and the UCLA offer could be an interesting one to keep an eye on, but who wants to deal with playing against Lavar Balls son for pt, even if you are better than him haha

Yeah I wonder where UCLA is at with things on him. They are targeting a lot of high profile players which may help ISU's case in that Timmy Allen may not be a top priority right now.

I agree with GoCubs that it would be a big deal in this recruitment to get an early OV... Seems like TA will be quick to pop on whatever school/program/coaching staff he clicks with on his visit.

I wonder the effects LaVar Ball has on UCLA recruiting, honestly. As a parent, hearing him cut down his son's teammates and getting so much media attention could make me try to sway my kid away from there. I know it's still UCLA, though. Despite their recent lackluster success, they are still UCLA and a dangerous team to recruit against.

I just wonder his antics move the needle for any of their other recruits. I'm really ready for his 15 minutes to be over.

I would doubt it has an impact on Timmy Allen's feelings towards UCLA, but Allen and the Ball's do have a history...

Timmy's older brother is Teddy, correct? Didn't he end up at West Virginia?

Pro (for ISU): I would imagine a conference matchup (no less than) twice a season has the ability to be a pretty strong incentive of brotherly competition.
