I think the reason Griffin will pick ISU is that KU probably has Vick and Garrett who play the 2 and 3 and they are constantly recruiting top SF targets like Wiggins, Jackson, this year Williamson, etc. Where at ISU he has a better chance of starting and starting sooner.
This is what I'm hoping he see's as well, but Kansas is still Kansas and Bill will always have a shot. Not holding my breath but think we are at least in his top 2 right now

Gotta get Tyler Harris at this point, gotta have him. The thing that is comforting with Harris is we can't even really identify a second team at the moment (unless you're considering Colorado State a real threat). Obviously the sooner he commits the better though.

Getting 1 of Conditt and Griffin would be nice and what I'm expecting. Missing on both would be a letdown. But getting both would be a home run and it'd be nice for the staff to establish themselves in Chicago area recruiting.

I really think Haliburton is ours if we want him but this development with a potential Nelson Phillips visit is interesting. If your lowest rated recruit is a top 150 player in a 4 man class that is outstanding work by the staff.

I recall Harris mentioning that he has a connection with the Colorado State staff and he mentioned that they have done a really nice job recruiting him so i'm hoping his visit there is just a sign of respect towards the Colorado State staff. I'm somewhat optimistic that he will commit to the good guys shortly after that visit.

Yeah and that is a bit of a concern, but the Memphis area reporters keep pointing to his strong connection with Cam Payne/Steve Prohm. I think that wins out in the end but it is a little confusing as to why he hasn't pulled the trigger yet.

I still like our chances, its just getting a little frustrating that we are having trouble closing on guys. Early in Prohm's tenure people were praising him for getting recruits to commit while on campus. Things sure have went South in that aspect

JuCo/Transfers committing after a visit is more of a regularity than it is for HS recruits. Most HS recruits are willing to test all their options and make as many visits as they feel they need. JuCo's/Transfers are a bit more ready to go, I feel, where the HSers are enjoying the ride while learning about theses schools recruiting them.

Not saying OV commitments don't happen, but I think it is more likely than not a HS kid will take more visits even if they feels strongly about one school. MJMO

I'd rather have the recruits consider their options carefully. It's a big decision, and likely the biggest decision that they've made to this point in their lives. Plus, careful consideration should benefit us as Coach Prohm does not run hot and cold. He is who he is, a very genuine guy.

Could be nothing but CSU is an Under Armour school and Harris plays for an Under Armour AAU program. Really hope we don't have another Darius McNeill situation brewing.

To me, those things probably only start mattering when you are talking about the top guys. I doubt Under Armour is saying anything to Harris about where to go.

My daughter just ran into coach and Zion on campus. Coach told her to give Zion her best 20 second recruiting pitch. If he comes here he said he'd send her a thank you email. She's pretty stoked...got pictures and all that.

If we get him tell her to put that on her resume.

She had a similar situation with Naz and Lindell last year so I give her credit for him. We bumped into them at the tailgate and she gets so damn excited that you can't help but smile. She's a goofy/fun kid.

Zion's parents got a kick out of her sales pitch and she said Coach is literally the nicest guy. Told her to just keep talking...never a problem with that!

What was her pitch, exactly!? Word for word. His recruitment could depend on it! @Cydkar

So, Cydkar, you saw CSP at the Premiere for "A Ghost Story"? Which one is Casey Affleck - the one on the right, or the left?
