I just watched Michigan state commit Malik Hall and honestly he is not that good. I also saw two kids going to creighton and one of them is going to be a heck of a player for them and the other will be solid. Sunrise has some talent man. Under the radar kids like crazy.

Btw Tray Jackson Missouri commit was suspended for fighting with the coach. One coach told me he doubts Tray will make it 4 years on a team without being kicked out. Major attitude

Is there another thread that I am missing that announces the men's basketball players that were signed yesterday? I saw in the Register this morning announcements for Iowa and UNI men's early signees and also Iowa and ISU women's early signees but nothing anywhere for Iowa State men.

No one has seen an announcement yet. One rumor/theory is they are waiting for all 3 to sign. Leech is supposed to sign today.

Yet another class to be excited about!

Yeah, even though it's not highly ranked, Prohm has a really good track record of identifying talent IMO.

What I like about it:

-Tre Jackson is apparently a really good shooter, and seems to be a tough nosed defender. Even if he doesn't turn into an every minute PG, you can always us a shooter, especially one that can defend.

-Anderson is a skilled big wing/post. To me, it's much harder to teach skill and shooting to an unskilled post, than it will be to take Anderson and teach him how to defend in the paint. If he can do that, then we can use him to be a mismatch combo forward.

-Leech has very high upside if he can stay healthy. Obviously that's a big unknown, but as you saw with Jok, if his knees get back to 100%, he could be a steal.

First I've heard of this- what's wrong with his knees?

Adding guys that are skilled and tough-minded is a good starting point.

Jackson could be a starter next year. He’s too short and not athletic enough to get potential-based high rankings, but so was McKinley Wright. If he can shoot as well as Prohm thinks, he’ll play a lot.

Anderson also doesn’t have the athleticism to be highly ranked, but 6’8” guys that can shoot and drive typically find success in college.

Leech does have the athletic-length combination to be ranked, but with injuries his game in unknown.

Tre Jackson signed.

Well, the experts clearly see Jackson as a good shooter. I notice that he ends up twisting a little bit after his release, which is not "orthodox". As long as he releases it straight and with good backspin, I suppose that doesn't matter. I'm going to look for it when he gets to ISU.

Layered in with this year's freshman class and perhaps Lard and Lewis (for a couple years in the latter cases), these guys can be very productive at ISU.
