Way up there
Prohm likes playing 4 guards, next year he's potentially only got 4 guards total for next year. Lewis and Griffin are more traditional 3's. It makes sense he's want to get at least one more guard but who knows, with all the experience coming back in the front court, the lineup could look a little bit more traditional.

Prohm will always prefer the 4 guard line up from here out, and he's probably somewhat concerned that we'll lose 1-2 of our underclassman guards, besides Shayok and Babb.

Hopefully a couple of these guys are still available once that process is decided.

I don’t disagree that Prohm prefers to play 4 guards but if THT does decide to go pro, I’m not sure there’s a guard on roster right now for next year that can guard 4’s like THT can.

Zion played the 4 on his HS team and can jump out the gym. He would be the most logical choice if THT does indeed leave.

I think Prohm likes that style and is building around it, but I can also see the case that might be the unique product of our talent at guard/wing and length at the same this season (and the last time we did it with Morris, Mitrou-Long, Thomas, and Burton).

The relative balance of our talent and experience is going to be more towards the best men next season. Senior Jacobson, two competent juniors, and Conditt.
I find it really weird that you glossed over Lard as a ‘competent Jr’.

I love Mr. Lard. He can play like the best big in the conference.

And he can also foul out in six minutes.

His mean is something like "competent," even if his standard deviation is huge.

I believe you recruit to the system you want, but that is limited to the talent you can sign. You play to the talent you have. Prohm may well prefer the 4 out 1 on for spacing, but his hand was essentially forced there this year with the roster he had. If we graduate a couple of senior guards, AND lose another (ex. NBA or transfer) that can certainly impact recruiting, but who he can get late and who is on the roster next year (assuming Solo can return) might dictate a different style.

Personally I see THT playing the 3G next year with the 4 being manned by a variety of players that change our look dramatically.

You could use Griffin, Lewis, Condit and Anderson, All would give us a different type of player.

Did I read somewhere Kane was recently on a podcast or something talking about Nixon? If so, could somebody link? Thx
I think it was on a recent coach's show.

I don’t see him grad transferring even in the very unlikely event LW and THT both return. We’d still be losing NWB and Shayok. That’s a lot to replace and he’d be competing for some of that with Lewis and freshmen.

If we are offering. I am guessing he has interest and we will have an open scholarship. It's almost crazy to think we won't have one open. Someone will go pro or transfer.

Every year you have those guys who you think might leave and if they do, you’re happy for them and don’t feel like you necessarily losing a future impact player. I don’t feel like we have that right now. The guys who could transfer I’d like to hang onto and the most likely guys to leave are the ones who want to go pro and obviously I’d prefer to have those guys back over an additional 2019 recruit. But yes, we are definitely going to have an open scholarship. If I got my wish though, everyone would be back except for the seniors.
