talent determines the outcome of most games, but basketball is heavily influenced by the style of the refs. They can easily change the outcome of games with similar talent.

btw I have little trouble with the refs tonight. It is a talent issue with the players we have on the floor.

This same Tejas team just got beat at Nebraska over the weekend. There is a talent gap, but it isn't as much of a gap as the score is displaying here. The officiating tonight is as lopsided as I've seen in a long time. (NOT blaming them for the loss, but they need to be consistent in enforcing the rules of the game, and they haven't been tonight)

I feel like a horrible fan all of a sudden. Instead of hoping for a victory. I am now watching to see if ISU can score 50. If the lead balloons to 40 points or more of if Texas can score a hundred against us.

So the reason we're losing by 29-points is because of the officiating?

No, not entirely. But bad officiating leads to the following:

1) We can't play tough defense when we're getting called for touch fouls on everything or our guys will all be fouling out of the game.

2) Lots of fouls leads to lots of points for Texas going to the free throw line.

The next obvious foul that isn't called all five ISU players should freeze in their tracks. Not move a step, not go down to play defense, just stare at the refs. This is pathetic. Texas would win without the refs help but this is just disgusting.

Fred needs to show some emotion, get a technical, get thrown out, something. His team is playing like complete crap and the refs are having their way with you. Show people you care.

hmm... and now the refs start calling touch fouls. Figures.

Love when you see the 'evening up the stats' fouls when games are already decided.

This game is an L regardless of the refs, but officiating definitely sucks as a whole.
