Official HB Decision Day Thread

I honestly don't know what to think. My hopefulness changed probably at least 4 times yesterday. At first I thought it was Iowa State, then North Carolina, then Duke, then Iowa State. Today, I'm feeling good right now, but I'm sure by 11:00, I'll feel differently. It sure seems like from some very iffy internet sources and a lot of the things that have happened this week that things are looking pretty good for us. But then again, we are fighting such an uphill battle. 7 freaking hours.
I told someone last night that my interest on this has barrelled right past focused and on to unhealthy. I mean seriously........

Same here. Just because we are ISU. That said, it would be tough to have these "cards" in front of me, and not push all-in.
I think ISU is definitely in the Final 2. Just not 100% sure on the other choice(though if I had to guess, it would be Duke).
All we can do is speculate, and create future ulcers, until 3:10.
I'm seriously sick to my stomach nervous about this. I'm almost ashamed of myself that a HS kid's choice of college has this much affect on me...
The disappointment factor in my brain is telling me he is going to UNC but then I think about all the factors and I think he is coming here.
Grew up a cyclone fan? Check
Has a positive relationship with Mac? Check
Good friends with ISU players (especially Brackins)? Check
Plays with ISU players in pick up games in offseason? Check
Has seen the Hoiberg start treatment in Ames? Check
Wore an ISU sweatshirt two days before signing? Check
The public is allowed at his signing? Check
It's the same day as Iowa State's opener? Check (Duke opens too tonight)
I really have no idea but the factors are adding up in our favor IMO. The biggest thing is allowing the public at his signing. I'm sure his mother knows that there will be backlash if he doesn't choose ISU. Keeler can tell people not to boo but when you have a packed house of passionate cyclone fans and he announces UNC, negative feelings will prevail and it won't be pretty.
My prediction.... Barnes to ISU. HUGE celebration at the basketball game tonight that flows into tomorrow.

I even had a dream about it last night.For some reason it was held at Vet's in DSM.
Vitale and the crew was there from ESPN and Johnny Orr was there doing a stand up bit telling jokes.Wierd.
The best part?
HB made it sound like it was down to Duke and NC.Right when he was going to announce,he said "But I've been a Cyclone my whole life and I can't change now!''
He pulled out his ISU hat and the place went nuts.
Then my wife woke me up because I was yelling in my sleep.

To me most of this stuff seems like no big deal given that he lives here. He's be silly not to take advantage of the local U and ISU would be silly not to help him out in case it helps. As of now I don't think it means a thing. I can't see him staying. Hope though that I'm wildly off base!
I spoke with one of the bball managers last night. He said iowa state has zero chance landing barnes he said he only kept iowa state on his list is so he could go outside in ames without someone ******** him out or yelling at him. I am a cyclone fan but i just dont think its gunna happen for us. Barnes is going to end up at duke or UNC thats who its between
I can see that stance and it does make some sense. But to say Iowa State had no chance at all, I don't think so.
The basketball manager doesn't know anything. My sources don't know anything and I would venture to guess they know more then a manager.

Just sounds like the guys who aren't getting their hopes up. No way the managers know anything when nobody else does.
