Is anyone going to Hinterland this weekend? I am excited for Friday the most, TV on the Radio, Future Island, and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zero.....

Saturday madison Ward and the Mama Bear, Justin Townes Earle, St. Paul and the Broken Bones and of course Old Crow Medicine Show.

100% agree, was not really into them until I heard they were playing this show. Now I can't stop listening.... Heard they are great live also....

I'm a maybe for Saturday. I'd love to see Justin Townes Earle and I've heard nothing but good things about St Paul and the Broken Bones. A friend of mine saw Madison Ward and the Mama Bear a few weeks ago and they came away unimpressed, so I'm not sure about that act.

You guys know if we can bring lawn chairs to this? I'm not sure what type of set up it is.

Nope. They have some chairs provided in the designated areas, wherever those are. But you can't bring in your own.
You might be better off trying to bring in a kayak or inner tube if this weather keeps up. That's a lot of rain for an area prone to flooding.

This festival was way better than I thought with the whole location debacle. The organizers with this were way on top of stuff. Hope next year they can find a good location that is expandable, I see the popularity of this one continuing to grow.....

Hightlights: TV on the Radio, Future Islands, Madisen Ward and Mama Bear, St. Paul and the Broken Bone, and Lucius.

Lowlight: Bus shuttle(especially Friday), $6 PBR's and Edward Sharpe's 50 sheets to the wind performance....

What did you expect? I haven't seen them live since Jade left, but every time I saw them I wanted the show to go on forever!

I had not either, my problem was he was way too incoherent. He did this in the past shows as well but not to this extent, it seemed like the band was getting annoyed with him as well..... I am all for a bombed out of their mind lead singer, just not to this extent, the line that lost me was describing a dream he had and he went on to say, and the security guards were dolphins.... There set has changed a lot the sound was tight as hell, just got a little annoyed with his tangents with the crowd and how much more further he took it than in that past.....
