I cannot tell you how pleasant it is that my NCAA weekend wasn't ruined by being the first team to lose. Great win by our guys. It got a bit dicey there towards the end, but they did what they should have done.

I'm excited to watch the replay tomorrow morning.

Probably not the thread for it, but my observations from the tournament in Des Moines.

1. The Wells Fargo staff needs to figure out how to move concessions faster. I could butcher the cow or pig in the time it takes those fools to get food ready.

2. The games were boring, but the crowds were great.

3. We had the two most typical Jayhawk fans behind us. Two real idiots. First, they ******* the entire game about the fouls being called on Kansas. The entire game. The officials were calling it tight, but Kansas was fouling. Of course, in the Big 12 those aren't fouls on Kansas. Then they were convinced that Iowa State was going to play Baylor/Yale in the next round. Simple basketball knowledge would tell you that isn't true.

Watching some replays, and I think one play by Georges was just pretty amazing, and probably was under-appreciated given how many amazing plays he's given us over the years.

Started at half court, crossed his guy over (who fell flat on his face) and dribbled into the lane before lobbing it to Jameel for the dunk. A 6'8" guy with that kind of skill (particularly with his range of skills) doesn't come around very often.

Hello from A UNI fan. Great game, Cyclones! I expect you to go far. If the Squaks had lost, the first round would have been perfect.

P.S. In my opinion, if a player goes up for a shot and he is fouled so that he rotates and lands horizontally, that should be a flagrant. Nader(I think it was) must be pretty tough.
