Re: Godfrey better start over Ejim Saturday

Ejim >> Godfrey offensively and defensively. Yeah he had a rough game, but Godfrey, Ejim, nor JVB lit the world on fire on the boards or on defense.

He needs to change something up...start fresh somehow. If we can get him out of this funk we can really start making some moves in the big 12. He's been in a slump these past 3 games. Melvin -we still got your back big guy, keep working hard!

I love this team, but these end-of-game meltdowns are the most frustrating thing I have ever witnessed (possible exaggeration, but not too much...).

Frustrating thing is, it was defensively, we just couldn't get a stop. Really too bad to shoot like that and not get a win.

Wow benching him will really instill confidence!!!!!!! That's why Freddie is the coach and you're writing of Cyclone Fanatic.

This is just another example of how a portion of our fanbase insists on making knee-jerk reactions.

Melvin will be fine. Did you expect a freshman to not have a bad game??

this isnt knee jerk Ejim hasnt been around since conference play started, Fred might as well spice this **** up

Don't bench a guy you absolutely are going to need for one bad game.

Great games from Vanderbeken and Palo, a bit up and down but overall good from Garrett as well. Ejim very much looking and playing like a freshman all night really hurt, he got beaten defensively way too often. I have to say this game was the most impressed I've been with Vanderbeken all year he played really good defense down low and avoided the silly fouls he sometimes gets when he gets caught out of position.

If JVB had not stepped out of bounds after getting that rebound with 3 minutes left in regulation, we win the game. ISU got no stops after that. Tough loss. I didn't even need to watch the OT to know the outcome.

Before too many people jump of the bridge. If this was GMAC's team we would have gotten beat by 20 in regulation. I don't think people realize how well we are playing with a VERY litmited roster. I know that doesn't help the fact we were up by 9 etc...

But we will be alright...
I just hope next year when we play OSU.....we are up by 25 and we don't pull the starters.
Sportsmanship is out the window in my book after the GMAC term.
Starting next year we beat teams and take their girlfriends too.

He is a true freshman playing 35+ minutes at a position he likely has never played in his life. What exactly do you expect from him? Godfrey made ALOT of mistakes tonight as well.

They did take a timeout, then Ejim threw it away. Game was lost when we failed to get a stop the last 4 or 5 minutes. Lot of poor plays down the stretch. Great effort, but you got to beat em by 15 to win by 2 on the road. Just too many mistakes and couldn't get a stop. Really disappointed with the defense down the stretch. Maybe they just wore down.
Jake fell down. JVB dropped the ball out of bounds. Ejim made a crazy pass and did not call a timeout. They were tired. Loss can be attributed to a short bench. If we had one more tough player, it would help.

Re: Okla. State***Official: Iowa State @ postgame thread***

Those official were terrible, for both teams playing tonight!
I'm an official and most of you know I'll back them 9 times out of 10, but that crew was pathetic tonight. As you said, it went both ways. I think if I was Travis Ford I'd have gotten T'd up in the first half. I commend him for keeping his cool.

Tell me if I have this wrong, but the view I saw I thought Ejim's T was BS as well. They got tangled but he didn't throw the elbow, did he? It looked to me like the OSU player made the violent move by swinging his arms down.
